Your Destiny Is In Your Hand – Inspirational Bible Verses

My destiny in my hand Bible GodNo matter who you are, or your social status, one thing can be guaranteed – there will be conflict in your life. In the lives of believers there is supposed to be conflict. The reason is, we are spiritually created beings made by God to rely on Him and call on Him in a time of crisis. That is His nature for us, that He might be the rescue and answer to conflict in our lives. We are made to carry out nothing without Him.

When in time of crisis you are overtaken by fear and anxiety whispering in your ear– fear not. When you have those kinds of thoughts let me tell you now that is the enemy talking. That is all he has is threats. The enemy will say to you, you might get cancer; you might get divorced; you might lose your job, you are going to fail . . . those are all lies of the enemy made to strike fear in our hearts. God is greater than Satan’s lies and threats. We cannot let fear overtake us.

Exodus 14:15 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

As Israel was standing at the foot of the Red Sea with the enemy right on their tail, Moses cried out to God. God then says to Moses “Why are you standing there looking to me? I have told you, everything you need is in your hand. Go forward; stop standing around – get busy. God told Moses, raise your arm, take what is in your hand and stretch it out in front of you.

Just as Moses did, we have to keep our eyes on God and coordinate our spiritual vision with what God has placed in our hand. A staff is nothing more than a big stick, but God used it. When God tells us to move on and to use what we have in our hand we need to be aware that we have a lot more than a big stick. We have the infallible living Word of God, which is the anvil that has worn out all the hammers of all the lies of the enemy over the ages.

We have in our hands His mighty Word with every promise, every instruction, every commandment, and stories of redemption that we can believe in and stand on. We have in the New Testament the words of our Savior and the message of the cross, by which the Apostle Paul instructs us that through the blood that redeemed us on that Cross, “We are more than conquerors”. We are more than Moses and the staff that conquered Pharaoh and spread the Red Sea, we are the offspring of the living God by Christ Jesus and what we hold in our hands is His Living Testament of that New Covenant written in His blood, of which we are partakers by His grace.

So take what you have in your hand, His Word, God’s promise, the power of the Blood infused with the Holy Spirit and stretch it out in the direction you need to move in your life. Let God be God, and He will part the Red Sea in your life.  When Moses and Israel stepped out, God performed a miracle for them, and for the first time in history there were footprints seen at the bottom of the Red Sea. Sometimes stretching out and believing in what God has placed in your hand will lead you where you have never been before. You will not be walking in someone else’s footprints; you will be making your own. You may be leaving footprints where they may have never been seen before in new path blazing through the obstacle that is in front of you, as God destroys the enemy that is behind you. So go ahead and move forward.

Everything you need is in your own hand; God has supplied you with all you need. So stretch out, your destiny is in your hand!

  1. Wow! Needed tha word today Darrell! Thank you for delivering. When you are facing a big obstacle that is in the way of a dream God has laid on your hearts it is easy to become weary when everywhere you turn the answer is no. It is a great reminder to persevere and to keep moving in the direction God calls you to even when you don’t seem to be going anywhere. Unless God says no then He has given us the power to move forward. Funny thing struck me as I read – you used the example of parting the red sea…the property we want to purchase for the retreat and ministry center is called Red Bay Lodge.
