Blood Testimony – Victory – Revelation 12:11 – Inspirational Bible Verses

Revelation 12 11 Blood of the Lamb word of their testimonyGreat victory requires great risk. The greatest risk in all of history took place in a manger in Bethlehem, as God became flesh in the body of a newborn child to liberate humanity from the bondage of sin.

There is a saying that a person’s real character is revealed in defeat. It was the supposed defeat on Calvary that became the greatest victory of all time. The compassion of Christ on the cross crowned our souls with God’s greatest victory.  By His sacrifice Jesus was initially perceived as a martyr, but in resurrection His victory made Him mankind’s greatest hero. Every step Jesus took on the road to Golgotha was a step toward victory for you and me. Christianity was built by one drop of His blood on top of the other.

Revelation 12:11 “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ.

Have you ever heard anyone say, “I am willing to die for my faith in Christ”? To the redeemed, death is all important. We must to die to ourselves and arise anew in Christ Jesus. We must let who we are in our carnal nature pass away that resurrection in our spirits can take place by the blood of the Lamb. In doing this, the enemy will be defeated and the world can see Christ has accomplished in each one of us by the word of our testimony authored by His blood. We have nothing to testify about in and of ourselves. It is only in Christ that our words have meaning and power.

None of us can predict what life has in store for us, and none of us can forge our own happiness. God alone has the power to pardon and chastise. He has the power to raise up to glory and to bring down into humility. Whatever life holds in store for us, be it glory, poverty or despair, we all live and die as human beings – the same as those who have preceded us. In Christ and Christ alone lies our eternal victory over sin, and triumph over all the forces that have ever been or ever will be.

Jesus subdued the enemy without fighting, He conquered with love.  First and foremost and only because of the “blood of the Lamb” we have conquered Satan. The victory is already ours in Christ Jesus!

We as believers conquer the accuser of the brethren, Satan, because of the “word of our testimony”. The powerful preaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is a mighty weapon. We are able to pull down the enemy’s strong hold because of the Word, and the Body of Christ is always victorious.

The secret to all victory is simple – we overcome everything by relying on the blood of Christ. Jesus is the only ground and basis for our hope – we must not blend this with anything else or water it down with any human ideology.

The willingness to die also means to not be in love with ourselves, our flesh, our own wants or needs. We must die to ourselves that He might be glorified. We must gladly deliver up our lives, and crucify our flesh in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”

  1. so nice and comforting may i take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas.

  2. THERE IS NO BETTER LOVE THAN THE FATHER FOR US BY SENDING HIS SON AND OUR BROTHER FOR US. WE DIE OF OUR FLESH DAY BY DAY AND WHEN WE SEE THE FATHER HE CAN SAY THERE GOES MY SON. I SEE HIM IN MY CHILDREN. LOVE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE IN US THROUGH THE SHEDDING OF THE BLOOD THAT DROP ON US FROM THE CROSS.

  3. On being in the world, but not of the world is my work presently. I struggle and make a little progress getting myself one step and then, there I am a block down the street when suddenly, just like that there is a new way to se powerless. – experience – needy – obsession – physiological need – a thorn – my blessing – a mission – pride – humility – false hope I myself. These run parallel with accepting the Holy Spirit. These thoughts laid over my heart just before.

Now I read by chance twice the top of this post and then, there is your gravatar o my .notifications. I was about to go to lunch. I will take this with me: ‘The secret to all victory is simple – we overcome everything by relying on the blood of Christ.’

  6. “The greatest risk in all of history took place in a manger in Bethlehem, as God became flesh in the body of a newborn child to liberate humanity from the bondage of sin.” I love this line. And this has always amazed me. God put the salvation of the world in the hands of a teenager and her fiancé, travelling over dangerous territory from Nazareth to Bethlehem, in order to have the Messiah in a feeding trough in a cave! What! No one could make that up! Who would dare do it this way? Yes, God is the greatest risk taker of all!

Thank you for such an inspiring reminder of what God has risked for us. Blessings.

  7. I t is true that is the greatest history that took place ,God is God and and through his son his work is manifested , unless you discover you cannot recover , Jesus is ready for any one who discover that he/she is a sinner so that he can recover what the enemy took from him/her.

  8. There is wonderworking power in the precious blood of the LAMB! Blessings Darrell to you and Gracie!
