Important Words in God’s Plan for Our Life – Inspirational Bible Verses

psalm 139 14 feafully and wonderfully madeWords – I think that they can have more effect on us than we realize. Words spoken by a spouse, friend, boss or associate can affect the way we see ourselves and the way we see others. Everywhere we turn there is advice offered by one “expert” or another. Many times we listen with glee to the words that feed our own vanity and egos. Other times we harbor anger and resentment to words that criticize or hurt us.

We cannot allow the words of man to become more powerful to us than the words of God.

There have been times in my life when the words of another have caused me to become defensive and prideful. Anytime we allow this to happen we are operating in the flesh instead of the spirit. If someone tells us that we are not adequate or a failure, we swell up with carnal pride and berate them in retaliation with a wounded heart striking back in anger.

In Christ we have the assurance that we are always enough, and that in Him our failures are covered by His grace. Nothing that this world can say or do can overpower what God has spoken over us in His word.

Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.

What the Word of God is telling us here is that He shaped us in our mother’s womb. Body, soul and spirit we are wonderfully and marvelously made – each one of us a masterpiece by His own hand. God knows us inside and out. He knows every hair on our head. He formed us from nothing into something special. His eyes are on us from the moment of our conception, and at the day of our birth. He will guide us through all of our life’s journeys until we are laid to rest. Those are words that I can live by and take solace in. These are words that need to take root and grow in our soul so that our lives might be full of joy and peace.

We cannot allow the words of man to become more powerful to us than the words of God.

With the words, “It is finished” Jesus set everything right between us and God. Those three words are the most powerful ever spoken, bringing salvation to all those who would speak the words to confess with their mouth and believe in their hearts upon the Lord Jesus.

With words Christ set everything right between God and man, and continues to do so every second as our intercessor. So when it comes to words, don’t be affected by what others say to you or retaliate with your own words as they are unnecessary.

So the question is should we care what others say about us? Should we listen and believe anything that the world says? Here is the point that I will leave with you. To trust we have to listen, but unless it is the Word of God, there’s nothing worth listening to.

  4. BIBLE TRANSLATIONS

The thought process of some Christians is puzzling to say the least. Why do some believers in Christ question that God has the power to guide men to translate Bibles that are inerrant, trustworthy, accurate, faultless, reliable, infallible.

Some of the same Christians who believe the following miracles of the Bible, doubt that God can produce an inerrant translation of the Bible.

They believe that Aaron’s staff became a serpent. (Exodus 7:10-12) However they do not believe that translations of the Bible are trustworthy.

They believe Jesus was resurrected from the dead. (John 21:14) However they do not agree that Bible translations are inerrant.

They believe that the dead man Elisha stood up on his feet. (2 Kings 13:20-21) However they doubt that Bible translations are infallible.

They believe Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead. (John 11:37-44) However they do not affirm that Bible translations are reliable.

They believe that God turned Lots wife into a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) However they are not convince that God has given us a translation of the Bible that is accurate.

Even those who state that the King James translation is the only accurate translation, believe that Mark 16:16 does mean what is says: They say “Has been baptized shall be saved” actually means, “Has already been saved before they were baptized.” The assert that Acts 2:38 actually means “Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ because your sins have already been forgiven.” They really do not trust the KJV either.

Ninety-nine percent of the Bible translations are accurate, trustworthy, inerrant translations of God’s word.

A few of my favorites are New American Standard Bible, King James Version, New King James Version, English Standard Version, and New International Version. There are also many other reliable translations.
