God’s Gift – Salvation – Jesus Nailed It

Jesus, born of Mary, a man thoroughly accredited by God to mankind – performed miracles and wonders and signs openly for all to witness. Jesus cast out devils, cleansed lepers, restored sight to the blind, caused the deaf to hear, the lame to walk, the dumb to speak, and raised the dead. Everything that the Father did through him is common knowledge. Jesus, the only Son of God followed the deliberate and well-designed plan of His Father. He was betrayed by men who took the law into their own hands, and handed Him over to be crucified. He was nailed to a cross, where He died for our sins.  But God untied the death ropes and Christ our Lord was resurrected. Death was no match for him. Jesus overcame death and the grave in history’s greatest act by God’s wonderful grace and wisdom.

The death which Christ died upon the cross was a very painful end, although no fault was found in him. Jesus endured great trauma. He was beaten with rods; He was scourged and whipped; He had a crown of sharp thorns shoved into His scalp. All this was before He was nailed to the cross of Calvary.

His body was laid out upon the cross where He was attached to the tree upon which He would die by nails driven through His hands and feet. The cross was then picked up and stabbed into the earth where Jesus hung in extreme agony until He said ”It is finished”, and He then died. He was wounded, beaten, bruised and endured great sorrow for you and I that we might have salvation by the blood that He shed upon that tree, and that salvation we would have it freely.

God freed him from the agony of death, and He was resurrected after 3 days after the crucifixion because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. God raised him from the dead.

Christ Jesus, the Son of the living God, by His death abolished the sting of death that we in turn might all experience eternal life. It is given freely to all who ask and believe upon His name. He paid our sins in full. His blood abolished death. His being nailed to the cross is the ultimate sacrifice and has bought us eternal and everlasting righteousness in the eyes of God. Jesus is the Lord, and the anointed Savior.

The word of god in Christ Jesus saves us, it is as near as the tongue in our mouth and as close as the heart in our chest. We must ask God to go to work and set things right in us. We must ask Jesus to become our Master, our Savior, and our Lord by confessing our sins, and embrace Him, body and soul. God will do in us by grace in what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. It is in nothing that we do, we simply calling out to God, believe and He will do it for us. That’s salvation-that is His grace. With our body, mind, spirit and soul we embrace the gift of salvation by Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary and we speak eternal life into existence by confessing our sins and accept the blood of Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. In doing this we embrace God’s forgiveness – for the grace of Jesus has set everything right between our Creator and us.

  1. Thank you LORD JESUS for Your Mercy and Grace.
    Shalom Darrell!

  2. Amen !!! He didn’t just “nail it” 50% or 75% or 99% and then we had to do the rest…no. He nailed it all!!! It’s just too bad that we still act as tho we have to “finish” as tho He didn’t complete it. Another thing we have to get in our minds, is that it is not sin that keeps us from the Father. It is the lack of Christ in our lives that keep us from the Father…AND that MOST important thing was taken care of on the cross as well.
