They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But I suggest to you than when coupled with a Bible verse a picture is worth a million words and more. There is nothing greater than looking at a picture filled with the words of God and being comforted and blessed within your heart and mind. These are the pictures from the last few months of my blog. I pray that they are a blessing to you. There is a You Tube Video of today’s blog in the middle of this article – click on it to enjoy God’s Word with beautiful music.
Have no fear!!! God is here. We have no choice, the Lord COMMANDS us not to be afraid.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.“
In verse 31 God commands us to get rid of or put away all bitterness ,wrath, anger, clamor, slander and malice. In the next verse He explains to us why, so that we able to forgive and receive His blessings in our life.
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Matthew 11:28-30 (paraphrased by me) Jesus said – “Are you feeling tired? Are you broken and worn out? Do you feel disgusted and burned out on religion? Come to me. Let me show you to save your sanity recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and learn from me—watch how I do it. Learn the natural and effortless rhythm of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Abide with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
There is nothing more beautiful to the eyes and heart than the word of God.
Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your Word.
I am thankful to my Redeemer that I never have to worry whether or not He still loves me, His love NEVER fails!!!
Psalm 132:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever.
When we are troubled and brokenhearted, the Word of God will revive us. This is His promise to every one of us.
Psalm 119:50 I have been comforted in my affliction, because your Word has given me life!
Do not build your hope upon worldly prosperity or upon profession of religion. Instead realize that your only hope is in the blood of Christ which redeems from sin and judgement. There is a storm coming on Judgement Day where God will judge each heart. May yours be filled with Christ.
Matthew 7:23 Jesus said – On that day, I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

We must learn to let go. Sometimes in God’s plan for our lives we have to take one or two steps back to take ten steps forward. Circumstances that we initially see as stumbling blocks and hindrances, many times are in truth, correction from God as He disciplines us to remedy our direction in life. Letting go of the things that we may think are right for us is hard, but holding on to them makes it impossible for God’s plan to unfold for our life.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Philippians 3:13 I have not gotten where I want to be yet. But one thing I do: I forget what is behind me and focus on what is ahead of me in my life.
Ever have a bad day? I know I have. Good news – God has you covered. 🙂 No one has ever had a bad day in Heaven. Why is that? It is because in heaven God has everything covered. God also has everything covered here on earth, we just need to learn how to get access to His shelter in this mortal world.
Psalm 91:1 Whosoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
We are but instruments in the hands of the Master; all credit, all honor and all glory belongs to Him and Him alone. We are instruments of God and our lives are a beautiful melody in His name played by the blood of Christ.
“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.” St Francis of Assasi.
I have heard the phrase -bad English notwithstanding – God don’t make no junk!! Body, soul and spirit we are wonderfully and marvelously made – each one of us a masterpiece by His own hand. God knows us inside and out. He knows every hair on our head. He formed us from nothing into something special. His eyes are on us from the moment of our conception, and at the day of our birth. He will guide us through all of our life’s journeys until we are laid to rest.
Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.
Thank God for redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ. Where oh where would I be without the Lord? Thank God for His gift of salvation. My soul is glad and my heart leaps with the joy of His grace. 🙂
Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
I have found that in life there will be times of prosperity and there will be times of loss. There will be times of laughter and there will be times of mourning. God coordinates all these events according to the counsel of His will wisely for our purpose. God will drop flowers of grace in the garden of your heart so all will see the beauty that is your life in Christ.
Ecclesiastes 3:11-14 God has made has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also put eternity in our hearts, but we cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for us than to rejoice and be happy and to do good while we live. It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts. I know that all God does will last forever; there is no adding to it or taking from it.
God’s grace should be the steering wheel that guides our life, not a spare tire to be used in case of emergency. In the path that God has laid out for our lives there will be change that we must embrace. There is no pain in change or growth in the Lord; the pain comes when we resist that change. Sacred was the life that was so freely given for our sins, and sacred is our life by His grace that we share with our Redeemer.
We are all born and we will all die. Every tombstone is marked with a dash in the middle from date of birth until date of death. We had no control of our birth and we have no control of the day of our death. Life – Death. We control the dash in the middle. Allow God to make your dash full of joy, meaning and purpose. Hopelessness will leave you believing that you are lost, considering that you cannot survive. The hope that God will give unto you will heal your broken heart and spirit when nothing else can.
Jeremiah 17:14 – God, pick up the pieces of my life. Put me back together again. I give you my praise.
It is the passion, pursuit, success and failure as we mature in life that will develop the character in us that we need, enabling God to work in our lives, allowing us to succeed as we submit to His will. The character that God develops in us will give us the wings to fly.
Isaiah 40:31 – Those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Darrell: Your gifts are such an encouragement to the body of Christ. Blessings ~Zoey
Thank you Zoey – Very much appreciated – Blessings Darrell
This is great for the furtherance of God’s kingdom and for His glory alone! Encouraging word of God and clear explanation😀👍
Thank you Darrell for being willing to share your Pictures, they bring to life God’s words so beautifully. Artists during the past centuries have been able to express graphically events and happenings even before Photography was invented, there are drawings in caves by primitive Tribes and artifacts from centuries ago that have been found with much engraving but the greatest Picture is the one that The Bible Paints because it’s dimensions are in our heart and it is titled LOVE.
Sadly Darrell so many Christians fear Judgement day because of having sinned but we do not have to in Christ Jesus, (see Link below) He is in us and lives His Life in us and when we say Lord, Lord, He will say well done good and faithful servant but what have we done for Him to say we are good and faithful.
Judgment Day – http://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2012/06/04/are-we-judged/
Jesus does not keep it a secret why He will send those away who will also say Lord, Lord, as we can see in the Scriptures below.
Matthew 25:41-46 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
1John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
