There are many definitions that people give to define the meaning of Christmas. Depending on who you ask, you will get answers that vary from a time to share gifts, Santa and the reindeer, celebration with family, and the birth of Christ.
Although the birth of Christ may be what we celebrate, the true meaning of Christmas goes even deeper than that. It was our Creator’s implementation of a divine blueprint designed to heal the broken relationship between God and man. On that Holy night over 2000 years ago, it all began with the birth of Jesus in a manger.
Yes, Christmas is about healing broken relationships. As you celebrate the birth of our Savior this holiday season, be reminded that it was His desire to heal the fragmented relationship with man that sin had shattered. It is because of that divine delivery that we are able to receive the new birth in grace that allow us to be reborn from God Himself.
As simple as it may seem now, the revolutionary idea of God becoming man in the form of a baby is the grandest gesture ever made. Born in obscurity, Christ forever changed the fate of all humanity. His birth was monumental, the likes of which can never be seen again. Jesus healed us all by His sacrifice at Calvary. He forever redeemed those who would call on His name. This holiday season, be reminded to thank Him for healing our broken relationship, for we have been restored to God by the birth of that small child on Christmas morn.

Wonderful words! I was restored over year ago in November. I grew up in the church but never really understood the truth of the gospel. I walked away for over 20 years, but praise God he brought me back and guided me to wonderful people who have helped me grow. Keep writing your lifting words, you are a blessing. Merry Christmas!

A powerful Christmas message Darrell full of God’s Love and Grace, because in sending Jesus we were not just forgiven but we are set free to walk as Jesus does, in Truth and holiness.
1John 4:16-17 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.
1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
My Devotions this morning have blessed me greatly and yours Darrell has touched my heart too, which I find that what your share always does, as it gets me to pondering again on God’s great Love.
It is also my Birthday today, I was born at midnight, which they say means the moon is under your feet but until I was Adopted when I was 14, I celebrated it on the 27th but when they saw my Birth certificate, they changed it back to the 26th.
Your Message Darrell I accept as a Birthday gift, it’s a wonderful reminder of just How much God Loves us.
Christian Love Always from both of us – Anne
Thanks for sharing Anne and many happy Birthday wishes – Blessings and Merry Christmas – Darrell
